Why we exist
The problem we kept running into
Ask ten students how they chose their coaching and you will hear ten different stories: a cousin's advice, a hoarding on the way to school, a brochure that promised everything. Fee cards sit on one website, batch sizes are mentioned on a call, and branch addresses are somewhere else.
By the time a family has compared three institutes, they have made a dozen calls and still cannot say which one is more transparent about what it offers. Coaching Review was built to shorten that. One page per institute, one yardstick for all, and an honest note about what the numbers do not tell you.
We are not here to tell you which institute will change your result. We are here to make sure you walk into the demo class knowing the fees, the batch size and the address, and with the right questions in your pocket.
What we do
We collect
Fees, batch sizes, branch addresses, phone numbers and websites for coaching institutes, gathered from what each institute publishes.
We score
Every institute goes through the same four-part formula, so a small local centre and a national chain are measured on the same scale.
We organise
Everything is sorted by exam and by city, so you see the institutes that actually teach your exam near you.
How a score is built
Four published facts, 100 points in total. Here is where the points come from.

Batch size
Smaller listed batches score higher; online or unlisted batch size gets a middle score.
- 225 pts
Fee disclosure
Full marks when a fee range is published; low marks when fees are only available on enquiry.
- 320 pts
Contact & address
Street address, phone, website and email are each worth part of this score.
- 415 pts
Programme breadth
Number of exams covered, up to three.
What we stand by
Facts over claims
We list what can be checked: a fee range, a batch size, a street address. Slogans and 'best in India' banners do not enter the score.
One rulebook for all
The scoring formula is public and identical for every institute. Nobody gets a special weighting.
No position for sale
Commercial relationships do not change a score or a rank. Positions come from the formula, nothing else.
Mistakes get fixed
If a fee or address is wrong, tell us. We correct it, recalculate the score and update any list it affects.
What we do not do
Being clear about limits is part of being useful.
- Measure how well an institute teaches
- Verify exam results or toppers' claims
- Promise you a seat, a rank or a selection
